Certificate of foreign investment

A certificate issued by the Colombian Central Bank (Banco de la República) which constitutes one of the ways of obtaining a Colombian visa or residency, depending on the amount invested.

Foreign investment in Colombia is considered as the investment of foreign capital in Colombia (including Colombian free-trade zones) by people that do not reside in the country.

In order to obtain this certification, InterCol will require the following documents:

Requirements

  • A copy of the Exchange declaration for international investments (Form no. 4) with the Exchange market intermediary (your bank of choice in Colombia), with the corresponding filing number (DCV).
  • A copy of the ID document with which the investment was recorded.
