Our story
2000
More than 20 years’ experience working in public administration, coupled with the need to legalize her children’s documents so they could study abroad, drive Marta Cuéllar to set up the business idea “Aristizábal & Associates Procedures”.
2002
Marta opens the company’s first office in the city of Medellín in order to offer document management services.
2005
We broaden our portfolio and start looking into management services abroad.
2006
We change our name to “InterCol International Procedures” and open a new branch in the Unicentro area of the city.
2007
Marta enters into a cooperation agreement with Spanish businesspeople and the Colombian National Learning Service (SENA) in order to take healthcare professionals to work in Spain. In tandem, she contributes to the preparation of the resident doctor exam (MIR) for postgraduate study in Spain.
2009
InterCol enters the Colombian visa market due to the increasing numbers of foreigners coming to Colombia to work, study and live.
2010
We inaugurate a new branch in the Poblado district.
2012
A strategic alliance is formed with the Colombian Notary Union involving document management services.
2014
We develop alliances with the public and private sectors in order to consolidate services to legalize documents and validate qualifications with the Ministry of National Education.
2015
InterCol is a trendsetter in the processing of Colombian visas. A new branch is opened in the Belén neighborhood, close to the Migration Colombia offices.
2016
Marta strengthens the foundations of the business and sets a digital transformation in motion with the support of her son Jaime Aristizábal, who also takes over the management of InterCol.
2018
InterCol moves its main office to the Malibú district, updates its corporate image and develops a new line of business: the Business Center.
